After my EPIC snowboard trip with my brother Nick, I went out fishing for geoducks a few more weeks and then headed off to North Cackalacky for a much needed refresher in Wilderness First Responder and then staff training for my summer gig with Broadreach.
Once training completed I was blessed to have such amazing friends from the past put me up and showed me the awesome side of Raleigh and Baltimore. A big thanks to Mark, Marc, Michelle and Darren and Jan. Another thanks to this cool girl I met at Staff Training, Jess, for inviting me to Cape Hatteras for a weekend with some very sick kite surf pros from Jersey and California. It was pretty amazing to meet these peeps and the weekend was all-time. There was a tropical storm heading straight for us and it created some amazing wind for these pros.
Mid June I shipped out to Nassau in the Bahamas for a week waiting for my students to arrive. During this week it was Junkanoo, a couple weeks celebration for Bahamian Independence Day. My students showed up and we headed to San Salvador for a week on Marine Bio and snorkelling around this sick island.
The trip itinerary was crazy. It went something like this: Dive Isla Simca and Isla Coiba; surf Santa Catalina; hike, zipline, whitewater raft and climb Boquete and cap it off with some sailing in San Blas. And I got paid to do this. Pretty sweet gig if you ask me, just saying.
There is much to tell from this trip and I might just write some random adventures should I get the time.
Plus I have an arsenal of content now from this long pause of writing due to snowboard trips, fishing, 'Merica, Bahamas and Panama.
